This was the view outside my apartment door right before tonight's sunset. I was taking advantage of the last minutes of today's natural sunlight, snapping some photos of some necklaces outside, and saw the sunlight streaming through the trees and fence in front of my apartment building.
I am obsessed these days with the tree silhouette- I love tree branches and tree branches that are just starting to bloom- so sweet!

I want to take the tree thing to the next level- make a tree quilt or tree necklaces or tree paintings or something.
I just checked out your pics- I love "banyon2!" The banyon trees have kind of a neat look... like you'd find a magical treehouse resting within the branches or something.
I also love the seashell pictures. I've only been to the ocean twice in my life, so I am in awe of being able to find such lovely little treasures sprinkled in the sand.
hi ladies, may I join in? How about a tree locket? Hey Nicki, I want to talk to you about ordering a custom photo pendant. I was wondering if you did any sort of lockets, I want to wear both photos of the kids at the same time. I have always loved the idea of a locket. Maybe they're too difficult, or too heavy. Let me know what you think. I am thinking the tree might be a smidge timely, so a squre or rectangle would be equally great. Yea! I love your site, your work is refreshing. I haven't checked your site out in years. It is wonderful.
Hey Jess! You know, I love the locket idea and am trying to think about how to make it happen. I did buy some little hinges yesterday, so I will experiment and will let you know if I can figure something out. I shall experiment! I'd really love to make it happen- I've always really liked lockets.
Otherwise, I could do a two-sided charm with two different photos that could go on a bracelet if the locket thing doesn't work out. I've done that before. My favorite was the anniversary gift charm for someone's grandparents. One side was an old black and white photo of them, and the other side was a current photo of the couple.
Thank you so much for stopping by the site!
Tracie,
I know- I love the variety. All the different shapes and colors in the branches and leaves. I didn't start noticing and developing a fascination until I moved out to Colorado. Made me more aware of the beauty of nature, I guess.
Nicki
nicki,
you really should see that tree that is down two blocks, take a left, and it is two or three houses north on the east side of the street...just remember that the mountains are west. this will be a great scavenger hunt. let me know, i think you will be amazed! Becki
